hello again. many thanks to laur, i mean pie monkey, sorry, for joining and for that cupcake:tongue:yummy!
As you may have noticed, i have updated my calendar and photo's. The book i would like you read today is called Graceling. it is my favourite book. (yes, even better than Harry Potter)
hmy: This is the summary on the book cover: Katsa has been able to kill () a man with her bare hands since she was eight- she's a graceling, one of the rare people in her land born with extreme skill. As a niece of the king, she should be able to live a life with privelege, but graced as she is with killing, she is forced to work as the kings servant. When she first meets Po, graced with combat skills, Katsa has no hint of how her life is about to change. She never expects to become Po's friend. She never expects to learn a new truth about her own grace-or about a terrible secret thet lies far away.:)
That was enough to get me to read. This is my opinion: This is the most romantic:wink:, touching book ever invented, or should I say written. Katsa, a kickbutt girl, is exactly the opposite of all the sexist stereotypes. She is tough, tall, big, and can beat up any man. Even though she finds Po a pretty even match:wink:hint hint. On a journey to kill someone, she meets Po, a dark mysterious stranger. You know where this story is going. They set off to help some people out, (no, not telling) and Katsa must use all of her grace and strength to reach the end.
Po is the best. :Di love his character. The author, Kristen Cashore, has also written Fire, a companion to Graceling, and is coming out with a new book, Bitterblue ( who is a character in Graceling)
Try em.:) like em.:) Thanks to Samantha for getting me this wonderful book as a christmas present.
